I worked with Shiny Shoe LLC to create the Xbox One port of The Banner Saga. The production took place over about three and a half months. Another programmer was simultaneously working on the PS4 port, and we collaborated on common elements of the game.
Much of my work was in implementing the platform specific services, such as user account management, interfacing with the native filesystem, achievement integration, etc. I also spent a good amount of time helping refine the console interface and control scheme. Along the way was a lot of bug fixing and some optimization work.
Project management was handled by the Shiny Shoe CEO, who also contributed his engineering expertise to both the PS4 and Xbox 1 projects. It was a great project to work on, in an environment that kept a strong pace of work. Getting to work on an esteemed title like The Banner Saga and bring it to a new audience was extremely rewarding.
